Noo-ooooo!

So, I mentioned that the Laundry Queen family all had nasty colds... well, now you can add a stomach bug to that. If I fail to post for a few days, please don't hold it against me. I am most likely otherwise occupied. Yay.

Elving Around

The kids pretended to be Elves tonight. They all had Elf names and Elf jobs. Poor Big didn't seem to like where Elf management placed him. He was assigned the task of putting holes in whiffle balls. I could tell he wanted one of the more high profile Elf jobs like decorating Santa's tree or toy assembly. I tried to explain to Big about job seniority, I mean, he is the youngest Elf after all, but he still seemed to be disgruntled. Poor Big! I hope he doesn't go postal.

Photo Morning

The boys and I are all feeling a bit crummy today-- congestion, coughs, runny noses... you get it. Anyway, we were just kind of moping around this morning, a lot of whining from Big (he's the sickest), so I decided to take a few shots.

At first it didn't go too well:

Luckily tempers evened out a little bit (for 5 minutes or so, anyway), so here's what I managed to get:

Not the best shots (it would help if I knew what I was doing, I guess), but they work to show how fast the boys are getting big. They change so quickly! Bud has grown more than 2 inches in the last 3 months! I feel like I need to take pictures so I don't wake up one day to find I've missed it all and only have fuzzy memories of how they once were. So, a lot more pictures to come, folks!

Bowls

Those of you who have been following my blog are most likely aware of the debate concerning what to do with Big's hair. I have received a few suggestions, one of which is the bowl cut. I really have strong feelings about the bowl cut, stated to perfection by the below billboard we saw on our Thanksgiving trip:

Couldn't have put it better myself!

Friday in the Park

While we were in Arizona for Thanksgiving, we stayed with Rophone's sister, Teeny, and her husband Lick. The kids had a lot of fun playing with Uncle Lick and their cousin, Charlie. The day after Thanksgiving we took the kids to the park and had even more fun.

Here's a picture of Charlie (the reason for his name will become clear later):

Every time he went down, Big yelled, "Slide!":

Another picture of Charlie:

Ginger, triumphant conqueror of the monkey bars:

See? Calling him Charlie seemed so much nicer than Hitler, don't you think?

Thanks again to Teeny and Lick for their hospitality! We had a great time!
