The Best Post

I had to get up in the middle of the night a few times last night-- Big lost his binky a few times and Bud had a nightmare. One of the times I was awake, I had an awesome idea for a blog post. I mean, it was going to be fantastically funny and entertaining! Seriously! The best post ever!!! I quickly crafted a plan in my head on how to write the post, but decided I'd better not dwell on it for too long or I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep.

So, I put it out of my mind and relaxed back into slumber. The problem is.... well.... it's still out of my mind. Nowhere to be found. Gone. As a result, you get stuck with this post instead. Sorry. I'll try to make it up to you later. If I can remember that I promised I would, that is.

No worries. Today I walked into my pantry and sat, staring for an extended period of time, completely blank as to what I had been after. So I retraced my steps, discovered what I had been looking for and returned to the pantry... again with no idea why I was there. Happening much too frequently lately. It couldn't be age, now could it???:)

Speaking of age, dear Laundry Queen, Lisa will be out at my place over July 4th. Maybe we can arrange a Triple B-day Party chat via Skype??? That is, unless you decide to make a quick trip to The-Place-I-Don't-Identify-On-My-Blog and we will do it in person. Just think, having the three of us just five hours apart will be the closest we have all been to being in the same place for years!!!

Sounds like a good idea if I knew what in the heck Skype is.... I would be sooo tempted to go down for a triple b-day smash-up, if only my Mom hadn't planned my Dad's 70th birthday party for the 5th. When does Lisa arrive at your place? Maybe I *could* fit it in...

Oh, and I hate to break it to you, it's the pregnancy/post-pregnancy-now-I-have-kids brain suck. When it comes to things regarding your children or where they left things, your mind will be like a steel trap. Anything else... well... you don't want to know. If you're lucky, you won't know you're forgetting. ; )

Oh man, I HATE that. It seems to be happening more and more often to me as late. I completely forget things. How sad. Maybe I'm not learning enough new things daily to keep my gray matter fresh.

That ALWAYS happens to me. :) At least I know I'm brilliant, even if I have nothing to show for it. LOL!

Don't worry, your idea will be back. Put a pen and paper by your bed, and if you wake up tonight, you might remember it. Jot down the basics, and you'll remember it in the morning. :)
