I can't express to you how excited I am as I type this post! After ages and ages of Big saying to me as he shuts the door to a room, "Excuse me, I need some privacy so I can go in my pants.", I am happy to report that Big did it! He went somewhere other than in his pants, and it was even in the approved receptacle we call the potty! Wahoo!
It has been driving me nuts that I have a two year old who can use the word "privacy" properly in a sentence, but yet had no yearning to be potty-trained. Maybe now that he sees how easy it is, we'll be on our way to the land of the diaper-free! I am buying a one-way ticket, and when we get there I'm setting up house and never coming back!
Way to go, Big!

Yeah, Big!
You need to get potty-trained so your Mom can get pregnant and start all over again:)!
Oh. My. GOSH! I forgot how funny you are, Sassy! Start all over again?!? Hahahahaha! I can barely contain myself!
WTG, Big! Leyton had been having a similar struggle w/ the thing we like to call potty, but happily has also recently had a lightbulb moment. Here's to those lightbulb moments continuing w/ both these lil big guys! Cheers!
That's SO exciting!!! I hear you about the one-way ticket. His "privacy" is hilarious (I mean, sort of). It reminds me of one of my children who always had a "private" place (behind the couch) where he would retreat, so one day I surprised him and put the little toddler potty over there! LOL I thought it was hilarious. He didn't. Anyway, congrats to Big (and mostly to you!!)
I'm totally jealous! I REALLY want to be in diaper free land. We're no where near even starting! One of these days....
Congrats!!
Carrie Marie-- way to go Leyton!
jwise-- potty behind the couch-- Har!
Laura-- just LAST WEEK when I would talk to Big about how yucky it was to have poop in a diaper he said, "I don't mind. It doesn't bother me at all." Before yesterday, he had never even come CLOSE to doing a poop in the potty and had only gone pee twice. He would only sit on the potty about once a month! Maybe it will be as sudden with your little. It has taken me completely by surprise. A serious (and welcome) clock to the head.
Good luck!
Congrats!
