First Swim

Today's temperature got into the 90s, so it was a perfect day for the first swim of the year. Bud and Big helped me inflate the pool earlier in the day so the water could warm up a bit in the sun, so by the time the girls got home from school the boys were bouncing off the walls with excitement. All of the kids, the girls too, were super excited to get in the water.

They all started out dry...

...but, since water was involved...

... they eventually got wet.

Okay, so maybe Bud isn't very wet-- but eventually he got the tips of his hair damp.

See?

Even in the 90 degree weather, the kids got chilled enough to need to take a few breaks to lie on the driveway in the sun.

Except for this kid, that is. Perhaps, just perhaps, his girth just may have something to do with that (imagine my shock today to discover that his size 3T shorts were a little snug around the waist. Size 3T!).

Big stayed in far longer than the rest and had a complete blast the entire time.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a warm one, too. Gee, I wonder what we'll be doing?

Yes, t0moo, my kids are very WHITE-- they have white parents. But, keep in mind that the pictures are more than just a little over exposed because of how bright it was outside. Far too bright to be taking pictures, that's for sure! Bud is actually darker skinned than the rest, but you can't even tell because of how bright it was. Not everyone can be brown and beautiful like you. ; )

Cute pictures!! Looks like so much fun! I'm so glad summer is coming! :) (It's not quite here up in the NW. It's still pretty spring-y.)

It was kind of a stray couple of days of heat stuck in the middle of spring, jwise. We're back to the 70s for another week or so at least (yay!). As long as the forecast is right, that is. ; )

Fantastic pics! My favs are of the feet up in the air (Bud's?), and Big splashing. Looks like they had loads of fun! I am dreading the 90-100 degree weather that hits us in the summer, but the fact that the kids will get to spend lots of time playing in the swimming pool while I read a book and sip lemonade in the shade does sound appealing....

Believe it or not, Lima, the feet are Pen's rather large women's size 9s! I must remember that angle when photographing my hips since it seems to make things look smaller. ; )
