Pen will only have to have braces for a year to 18 months. She felt pretty good about that when they first told her, but when she came out of the office after getting the braces on she said to me, "It's going to be a long year." Guess we'll see how it goes. All I know is that her smile will be even more beautiful when she's done.

are those blue brackets? and is there a wire? (my resolution is sketchy sometimes, so i can't tell!)
either way, she definitely has a BEAUTIFUL smile. and she's lucky - i had to wear braces and headgear for much longer than 18 months!

The brackets are just the plain silver, CarrieMarie, but the new thing now is to have colored elastics. She opted for teal this time around, but I'm sure the next will be purple or something.
Oh, braces. I hated those things {although now I'm so glad I had them, of course} , and all my kids are going to have to have them too :( Only 18 months is lucky though!
Her teeth look so beautiful before! I'm clearly not seeing what the orthodontist sees. :) Mine were a freaking mess, sideways and everything, so that's why *I* got braces. I hope the 18 mo. goes fast for her!
Well, jww, her incisors and canines just need to be pulled down a little bit to make them more even with her front teeth so they can do a better job of protecting her front two and give her a better bite.
