Big Discovers Books

Big has finally really discovered books. He has always enjoyed the pictures, and the words as long as there weren't more than one or two a page. He has just never been willing to sit still long enough for a book with some semblance of a story line. Until now. 

While we were on vacation, my sister, Martha, gave Big this book as a late birthday present:

Big loves it! I think we sat and read it together at least 25 times today. He still shows a lack of patience with other books at times, but this is always sure to keep his attention raptly held. It is nice that Big will now, occasionally, sit for a moment and cuddle with his mom and read a book. Much better than a poke in the eye, that's for sure!
